General Info

Tucked along Rúa Severo Ochoa, 5, 15008 A Coruña, Spain, Cafetería Con Dos Fogones feels like one of those easygoing neighborhood spots you’re glad you discovered. The atmosphere is relaxed from the moment you arrive, and the café-style setting makes it an inviting place whether you’re stopping by for a quick coffee or settling in for a long, casual brunch.

One of the first things I noticed was the outdoor seating area. On pleasant days in A Coruña, sitting outside adds something special to the experience. It’s the kind of place where locals chat over coffee while the city moves around them. The layout is simple but comfortable, making it easy to relax and take your time with the menu. Because the café also offers parking nearby, dropping in for a meal feels convenient rather than stressful.

The brunch offerings are a highlight here. The menu focuses on classic café favorites-simple, satisfying dishes that pair well with fresh coffee or a light drink. Everything feels straightforward and approachable, which actually adds to the charm. When you’re looking for a place that balances good food with a laid-back environment, this type of café hits the mark. It’s easy to see why many visitors return after their first visit.

Another detail that stands out is how welcoming the space is for different types of guests. Families with children will appreciate that the café is good for kids, making it a practical option for a relaxed meal without worrying about a formal dining atmosphere. At the same time, the setting works equally well for solo visitors, coworkers meeting for coffee, or friends catching up over brunch.

From a comfort standpoint, essential amenities like a restroom are available, which might seem like a small detail but definitely adds to the convenience when spending time here. Little touches like this make the overall experience smoother and more enjoyable.

What gives Cafetería Con Dos Fogones its appeal is the balance between simplicity and comfort. It’s not trying to be overly trendy or complicated. Instead, it focuses on what a good café should offer: a welcoming location, a reliable menu, and a relaxed environment where people actually want to linger. Judging by the steady stream of visitors and positive local reviews, it’s clearly become a familiar stop for many people exploring this part of A Coruña.

Whether you’re visiting the area or simply searching for a comfortable café to add to your list of go-to locations, this spot delivers a pleasant and authentic dining experience that feels genuinely local.

What customers say?

“ Delicious menu. One of the best in A Coruña, fast, high quality and service. Fantastic. ”

“ Good food and a good set menu at a reasonable price (€13). The only downside is that it's a bit cold in the back dining area. The service was also very good and attentive. ”

“ Restaurant with a great daily menu, always featuring a different dish that's a pleasant surprise. Also a great place for medium-sized groups. We enjoyed a magnificent Galician stew, lovingly prepared by the cook, with everything you could possibly need, and at a good price. Good ingredients, well prepared, well served, and in a welcoming atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Oh yes, if you want karaoke, they have that too. P.S. 1. The new management is a breath of fresh air. P.S. 2. The photos I'm sharing aren't great quality; it's much better in person. ”

“ Great atmosphere, super friendly people, delicious food. Highly recommended. ”

“ I was passing through the area and approached the menu sign. It looked good, so I went in. There's an indoor dining room and another seating area near the large bar. I stayed in that section, even though both places were quite busy. I was served quickly and promptly. I enjoyed the tortilla in sauce; it was well-cooked and light, with a hint of rosemary in the tomato sauce. The pork knuckle was unremarkable, juicy, and cooked perfectly. They had a variety of traditional desserts. Everything was very clean, modern, and spacious. Being close to the kitchen, there was a slight smell of oven and frying in this area. But it's still worth a visit. ”

“ Dos Fogones is better than ever! With the new management, this place has transformed into a spectacular experience. The service is top-notch, always attentive and with a smile. The atmosphere is wonderful, welcoming, and tastefully decorated. But the best thing, without a doubt, is the food: delicious, homemade, and with a flavor that will make you want to come back. You can tell they cook with love! Highly recommended. ”
